Okay, touchy subject to some people, but lets talk about the good and bad of Public school and Home/unschool. They both have strong points, but everything with a strong point has a weak one. Tell me a few of public school and Home/unschool, both good and bad. I'll go first. Public school has it's strong point of giving basic education to everybody, but a sad, and slightly infuriating on my part, fact is if you express interest in something, the schools will discourage you from that subject, because they want " Well-rounded" acedemic levels. That just means it makes them look bad if your report card shows significant difference in subjects, even if it's not something like " A" in math and " F" in english. It's insulting. Home/unschooling gives more movement, more freedom to excel in what you please. Instead of focusing on things you hate, you focus of things you want to learn. The downside is it's usually a lonely experience, unless you have group you see on a regular basis, or live in a neiborhood, but even that only goes so far. Your turn.
